Chocolate Smoothie for Kids

I struggle with healthy breakfast choices for my kids – in particular for son number 2 who is particularly fussy. This smoothie is ultra creamy and thick and there are no obvious signs it contains healthy goodness in it which gives it the green light for fussy eaters.


I particularly like the ‘Whole Life’ why brand. My kids like this smoothie pretty thick, similar to a milkshake, but if you prefer a thinner consistency, simply add a little more water.


What you need

A few ice cubes

120ml coconut or almond milk (maybe a little more)

1/4 avocado (build up to this if you have fussy eaters)

2 tsp chia seeds

1 large medjool date, stone removed

1 scoop ‘Whole Life’ whey chocolate protein powder

A little water (enough to reach desired consistency)

What you do

Simply place all the ingredients in a blender and whizz until smooth.
